How CUET Normalization Works

Understanding raw marks, percentile, and normalized score.

Raw Marks

Based on the marking scheme: +5 for correct, -1 for incorrect, 0 for unattempted. Each subject is out of 250 marks.

Percentile Score

Shows how you performed compared to others in your shift: (Candidates with score ≤ yours ÷ Total candidates) × 100.

Normalized Score

Final score after adjustment across shifts using the equipercentile method. This is what universities use for admissions, not your raw marks.

CUET normalized score is the score NTA calculates after adjusting for difficulty differences across exam shifts. It is calculated using the equipercentile method and is the score used by universities for admissions, not your raw marks.

How is CUET percentile calculated?

CUET percentile is calculated using the formula: (Number of candidates who scored equal to or less than you ÷ Total candidates in that session) × 100. Percentiles are calculated shift-wise and then equated across all shifts.

What is a good CUET score for Delhi University?
