Gujarat Board Class 11 Arts Assessment Structure

Gujarat Board Class 11 Arts follows a comprehensive assessment structure designed to evaluate student understanding and prepare them for Class 12 HSC board exams and competitive examinations.

Formative Assessments

• FA1: July 2026 (15 marks)
• FA2: October 2026 (15 marks)
• FA3: December 2026 (15 marks)
• FA4: February 2027 (15 marks)
• Total FA: 60 marks (20% weightage)
• Competitive Exam Focus: Questions aligned with UPSC/CLAT pattern

Summative Assessments

• SA1: October 2026 (40 marks)
• SA2: March 2027 (40 marks)
• Total SA: 80 marks (80% weightage)
• Annual Examination: 100 marks (Combined)
• HSC Pattern Exposure: Questions aligned with Class 12 board pattern

Note: Final assessment combines both Formative and Summative assessments. Students must score minimum 33% in each subject to pass.

Passing Criteria

• Minimum 33% marks in each subject
• Overall aggregate of 33% required
• Internal assessment marks are mandatory
• Map work must be submitted for Geography
• No minimum attendance requirement for Class 11

Grading System

• A Grade: 85% - 100% (Outstanding)
• B Grade: 70% - 84% (Excellent)
• C Grade: 55% - 69% (Very Good)
• D Grade: 40% - 54% (Good)
• E Grade: Below 40% (Needs Improvement)
